Nobody likes change. It hurts. Downsizing, rightsizing, restructuring, call it what you will, but you can’t deny it affects people in a very real way. And not just for the downsized. Those that are left often feel battered, confused, lost. What’s the result? A workforce that feels demotivated, disconnected and insecure.
Helping people to re-engage after change has never been such a challenge for leaders. Telling people that they need to do so will only push them further away. Ensuring that people are heard, and helping them to see the benefits of reintegration, as well as devising a personalized strategy for emerging from the darkness is what is needed.
At you:unlimited we offer two programmes to help your business navigate these rough seas. One is directed at your managers, to arm them with the tools they need to support their teams through turbulent times. The second programme is for the wider population, and provides the opportunity for people to voice their feelings, examine commonalities and see how these feed into traditional change models. In discovering that they’re not alone, and exploring an array of coping/survival mechanisms, they can begin to design a strategy to make a tangible shift in their thinking and a real difference to their engagement and therefore their effectiveness at work.
FORMAT
Half day accelerated workshop followed by post course e-prompts and buddy coaching to help integrate learning into day-to-day behaviours. Practical and interactive.
