FORMAT

Half day accelerated workshop followed by post course e-prompts and buddy coaching to help integrate learning into day-to-day behaviours. Practical and interactive. Includes group work and work in pairs. Max recommended group size 15.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN DO AS A RESULT

  • Be a better leader formally and informally
  • Have a clear understanding of influencing and what it means to them in contrast to manipulating
  • Skills for building rapport as a basis for influence
  • Use body and voice to have high credibility or approachability as they require
  • Be tough on issues but gentle with people
  • Use simple repeatable techniques to gain new insight into other people’s perspectives to learn what others would gain from being influenced
  • Set positive intentions for their influencing which helps act as a focus
  • Be more flexible in their communication with respect to the recipients’ preferences and find their areas of strength and weakness
  • Know what do we need to do with tone and posture to send information credibly or to invite contributions and build relationships when desired
