Kumlaish has been a specialist consultant to a number of private and public organisations for over 15 years and has much experience working with HR and training personnel to strategically plan, design and deliver equality and diversity training. Her principal areas of interest are Equality and Diversity matters in employment and Multicultural Therapeutic approaches. She is a Member of the Equality and Diversity Forum for the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapy.
She is a qualified Trainer and Facilitator, NLP Practitioner, Hypnotherapist and Therapist. Aside from her training work, Kumlaish’s undertakes work place mediation sessions and harassment and bullying investigations for several Local Authorities, Building Societies, Banks and The Crown Prosecution Service. She has a wealth of up-to-date knowledge on the legislative developments in equality, both for employers and in relation to service provision and has extensive experience in counselling, mediating and critical incident stress debriefing and has worked with Lloyds-TSB, KFC, Staffordshire Building Society, Sainsbury, B&Q, London Airport and with BUPA staff involved with the Hatfield train crash. Before working as a Trainer and Facilitator, Kumlaish was a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Community Care at the University of Central England and prior to this, as a training consultant for Sandwell Council where she designed and ran training programmes on a range of equality issues. Amongst Kumlaish’s qualifications are a Masters degree in Race and Ethnic Studies from Warwick University, BPhil in Counselling and NLP and Hypnotherapy Qualifications.
